Data and Digital Week 2021 is the online event of the network of the Red Cross Red Crescent focusing on learning, sharing data and digital skills to help accelerate our transformation efforts in line with Strategy 2030. The events will feature plenary and keynote sessions, workshops, demonstrations, roundtables and much more. The dates are April 19-23, 2021.

Where is the event being held?

Data and Digital week 2021 is entirely online, and is accessible with a computer or mobile device, and an internet connection. You will get access to the final schedule and links to individual sessions if you sign up for Data & Digital week here

Where can I view the event schedule?

The full agenda for Data and Digital week will be shared with you after you register for the event. (see next question)

Who can join, and how?

Data & Digital week is open to all members of the network of the Red Cross/Red Crescent: staff and volunteers alike. You can invite an external partner to your session if this fits your session’s objective, but please do not promote the event outside the RCRC.

You will need to register for the whole event in order to receive the final agenda with all the individual session links. Registering to the event doesn’t register you automatically to the individual sessions.

Once you have received access to the final agenda, you will see two types of links for each session

  1. Direct access to the meeting without registration
  2. Individual session registration link (you may receive an email confirmation with the session link). You will need to register in advance to get access to some sessions.
Which virtual conference tool do I need to use to join the individual sessions?

Each session may be run on a different virtual conference tool. This is selected by the individual session hosts. Each session in the schedule will have these links associated with the particular event.

Do we need a Zoom /MS Teams account to join?

If these are the tools the session hosts chose to run their session with, you do not need an account, but we recommend that you install the latest version. Links to install the desktop or mobile device app

Are the sessions recorded?

Session hosts may plan to record their sessions. All session hosts should inform you when their session is recorded.

How many people can participate in each session?

Some sessions, especially workshops, may have a limited amount of spots available. Please do register in advance if registration is required.

Are the sessions in all IFRC official languages?
