Events include a mix of digital-only and hybrid events connecting the world with participants to the in-person event in Nairobi, Kenya.

About the Global Innovation Summit

With the rapidly changing world we live in, the need for responsive and adaptive National Societies has never been greater.

At the IFRC Global Innovation Summit, we will bring together changemakers, thought leaders, and experts from around the world to share inspiring ideas, experiences, and insights. This immersive experience will allow us to investigate the changes we need to make to be more fit for present and future challenges, and the role that innovation plays.

1 Event, 3 Experiences – In Person, Online and Hybrid

The IFRC Global Innovation Summit 2023 convenes and connects us for a one-of-a-kind hybrid event. The Summit will be in two parts: in Kenya (in person) and Digital (online).  It will also include a number of hybrid events.The in-person event will explore how innovation can help the IFRC network of national societies address the five global challenges and seven transformations identified in IFRC Strategy 2030. The GIS Digital event will build on these themes and highlight the role of digital technology within this context. 

Host a Virtual Session

Ready to host a specific Virtual Session on engagement, innovation, or digital transformation? Help us shape the Global Innovation Summit 2023. We will guide you to share your experience in the form of a Keynote, Panel Discussion, Demo, Game or other Activity. Read the digital event FAQ and apply now to host a virtual session! Simply set your preferred date and time, and describe your Session in a few words. Sessions can take up to 120 minutes, and are open to all volunteers and staff from the Red Cross & Red Crescent network.
