Shaping the Movement value proposition
The humanitarian landscape is undergoing profound transformation. As needs grow, crises become more complex, and the environment for humanitarian action continues to evolve, the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (the Movement) must continue to adapt while remaining true to its Fundamental Principles and humanitarian mission.
The Council of Delegates 2026 will provide an opportunity to reflect collectively on the future of the Movement and the distinctive value it brings to people and communities worldwide. To inform this discussion, National Societies are invited to contribute their perspectives on the Movement value proposition.
This consultation seeks to identify the distinctive value that Movement brings to people and communities today, and the value it must continue to provide in the future to remain a trusted, relevant, and indispensable humanitarian actor in an increasingly complex world.
Your reflections will help shape a concise Movement Value Proposition document that will be presented during the Council of Delegates.
