Lighting a candle. Make an Awesome Video. Use #IFRCLightInTheDarkness

We are inviting volunteers from around the world to help launch Light in the Darkness, a global movement celebrating hope, humanity and the power of small actions to rebuild the conditions for peace.

To participate, please record a short video of yourself lighting a candle.

How to film your awesome video:

• Record vertically (portrait / 9:16)
• Keep it between 10 and 15 seconds
• Film at dusk or at night if possible
• Stand outdoors or in a simple, quiet location
• Use a stable camera or ask someone to film for you
• Start with the candle unlit
• Light the candle
• Hold it for a few seconds and look toward the camera
• No music, filters or editing needed

Safety first:

• Use the candle responsibly
• Keep it away from anything flammable
• Never leave a lit candle unattended
• Extinguish it immediately after filming
